I’ve been doing all of my insurance business with Darr Shackow for more than a decade, and have dealt with many very good to excellent agents there. I have shopped insurance through other firms, and also shopped different policies with DS for our home and auto, as well as multiple (7 at last count) rental properties. They’ve always done a very good to great job, but we then had the good fortune of dealing with the lovely, talented, and effervescent Christy McCumber who raised the service level from excellent to TOTALLY AWESOME. We’ve done business in person and over the phone, and she’s always timely , knowledgeable, patient and understanding, and is always watching out for our needs. Hopefully John Darr and Ray Shackow read this review and realize what a true gem they have in Miss McCumber. We are happy to continue having our insurance needs serviced through Darr Shackow and especially Christy McCumber.

I have been with Darr Schackow Insurance for about 6 years. Melissa (Dukes) Knowles has worked with me extensively and I can’t say enough good things about her. She is so knowledgeable and will ask you questions you never would think of on your own. Then she will find you the best policy at the best price. Over the years she has saved me hundreds of dollars and she just did it again by saving me $450. She is so friendly and polite. She will remember specific things about you and your family from years past. Melissa will take as much time as necessary to make sure whatever your needs are will be taken care of. Let’s face it, buying insurance is a necessary fact of life and a serious financial consideration. It is very important that you select the best person to represent you. So when you choose Melissa at Dar Schackow Insurance, you will not only get the peace of mind knowing you have the best possible representation, you will get a wonderful positive personality to go with it. If I could give a million stars I would send them to Heather Boczar. She had sent me a mail right after Irma and asked if we are ok, she helped me with all the questions I had. All the other people I know are still trying to reach the insurance office … Even if we do not need help, we are very happy that our home is still there and we are very happy to have Heather.
